HONOR 9X and HONOR 9X Pro announced with 6.59-inch FHD+ display, Kirin 810 7nm SoC, GPU Turbo 3.0, 48MP rear camera. It is the company’s first phones with pop-up selfie cameras and will arrive in China late July.
The new Huawei’s HONOR 9X and 9X PRO were officially launched in China with no bezels around the display corner, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor scanner. It is just part of the new trendy pop-up selfie Smartphones out there with X-shape glossy gradient finish at the back.
However, the both phones supports almost the same specs and features, as you can easily find the Huawei’s new Kirin 810 chipset, which made its debut on the Nova 5 Pro last month and is the company’s second 7nm chipset. The Honor 9X is definitely a worth successor to its predecessor, the Honor 8X.

Both phones comes with a 6.59-inch (2340 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ 19.5:9 2.5D curved glass display, and are powered by the Octa-Core Kirin 810 7nm processor with a ARM Mali-G52 MP6 GPU for intensive graphic performance. Also runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) with EMUI 9.1.1 and comes with Dual SIM support.
HONOR 9X and HONOR 9X PRO sports a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The HONOR 9X comes in Midnight Black, Blue and Red color options while the HONOR 9X Pro comes in Midnight Black, Phantom Blue options.
The HONOR 9X arrives in two different models, there is the 4GB + 64GB internal storage and a 6GB + 128GB internal storage, while the HONOR 9X Pro arrives in a 8GB lone model coupled with two different storage model, 128GB / 256GB storage, and you can easily expand any of the phone’s inbuilt storage up to 512GB with microSD.
Coming straight to the optics aspect, the HONOR 9X arrives with a dual camera setup, which consists of a 48MP rear camera with LED flash, 1/2″ sensor, 0.8μm pixel size, f/1.8 aperture, 2MP depth camera with f/2.4 aperture but the HONOR 9X Pro comes with a triple setup camera lens, which includes an additional 8MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.4 aperture.
The both mobile phones has a 16-megapixels front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture, it is being hosted inside the pop-up selfie camera shooter. The network and connectivity features includes Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0 LE, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C. The both phones are backed by a 4000mAh battery capacity.
HONOR 9X and HONOR 9X PRO Pricing
The Honor 9X official pre-orders starts now, and will start hitting shelves on July 30th, while the HONOR 9X PRO pre-order will start on July 30ths and will officially go on sale on August 9th in China.
HONOR 9X 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version price is 1,399 yuan, around $203. The 6GB RAM with 64GB storage version goes for 1599 yuan, around $232 / Rs. 16,020 and the top-notch 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version is priced at 1899 yuan, around $276 / Rs. 19,025.
While the HONOR 9X PRO 8GB RAM with 128GB storage is priced at 2199 yuan around $319 / Rs. 22,035. And the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage version costs 2399 yuan, which is around $348/ Rs. 24,040.
