Around the ending of March, HONOR introduced its Pad 7 with a 10.1-inch FHD display, and today, the company has launched its latest tablet, the HONOR Pad X7 with an 8-inch display and features a large battery capacity.
While both come with major similarities, the differences are quite minimum. Both tablets were launched in China but the Pad 7 comes with a larger screen display with a little tweak in the processor and memory configurations.
HONOR Pad X7 arrives with an 8″ LCD of 1280×800-pixel resolution with up to 300nits brightness and features an 80% screen-to-body ratio display. While the Pad 7 comes with a 10.1-inch (1920×1200 pixel) FHD 224 PPI IPS display.
The back panel of the Tablet X7 is made of metal and has a fine sand texture for a comfortable grip. It is 8.5mm thin, weighs 325 grams, and comes in a single Blue color option.
The company mentioned the support for E-Book Mode on the Pad X7 that prevents eye fatigue during prolonged reading sessions. The Pad X7 arrives with a 3.5mm headphone jack to let you listen to music through wired earphones.
Similar to the Pad 7, the HONOR Pad X7 is powered by MediaTek Helio P22T (MT8768T) chipset with its Cortex-A53 CPUs clocking at 2.3GHz/1.8GHz processor count, but the Pad 7 highest CPU is clocking at 2.0GHz Cortex A75.
These arrive with IMG GE8320 650 GPU that provides seamless graphic control during intensive gameplay. The Pad X7 comes with 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage that is expandable up to 512GB via MicroSD card slot.
But the Pad 7 comes in a bigger 4GB RAM with 64GB / 128GB storage, and these run Magic UI 4.0 based on Android 10 OS HUAWEI Mobile Services. Both are available in either Wi-Fi and LTE versions.
These offer a large 5100mAh with 10W charging support through micro USB but the Pad 7 uses a USB Type-C connector. The connectivity options include LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac 2.4GHz and 5GHz, Bluetooth 5.0 LE, and GPS.
Pad X7 comes with two camera lenses, featuring a rear-mounted f/2.2 5-megapixels with AutoFocus and a single 2-megapixels f/2.4 lens with fixed focus. Cameras aren’t the forte of Android tablets, so don’t expect too much.
The company also mentioned that the X7 supports kid-friendly mode by loading it with an education center and other specially designed features for children. It even comes with a kid-friendly case.
