Chinese-based smartphone brand, Honor silently introduced the PRO version of the Play 5T, known as the Honor Play 5T Pro in both Magic Night Black and Titanium Silver color options. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G80 chipset.
Play 5T Pro is offered in a 6.6-inch LCD 1080p display panel with FHD+ resolution and features a top-centered punch-hole cutout for its 16-megapixels selfie camera. Around the back are a 64-megapixels main shooter and a 2-megapixels depth with support for an LED flash.
These cameras feature AI photography, time-lapse photography, night scene mode, portrait mode, panorama, HDR, voice control photography, continuous shooting, etc. Front camera features include portrait mode, time-lapse photography, and more.
It weighs 179grams and sports a side-mounted power button that doubles as the fingerprint reader, and the connectivity includes Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v5.1, USB Type-C port, GPS, 4G LTE, etc.
It is available in a single memory configuration – 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Allowing you to store more files, documents, applications, music, movies, annotations, and more. There is no confirmation if it supports memory expansion.
The Honor Play 5T Pro runs Magic UI 4.0 on top of Android 10 OS and features a 4000mAh battery capacity with 22.5W fast charging support through a USB Type-C connector, Honor claims it charges up to 53% in just 30 minutes and can take a day on a full charge.
Honor Play 5T Pro costs CNY 1,499 ($231) for the single 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage. The company confirmed that the Play 5T will be up for sale from August 11 and will be available on HiHonor online site.
The Honor Play 5T Pro joins the Play 5T series including the Play5 and Play 5T. Where the $186 Play 5T features a 6.5-inch with 720 pixels HD+ LCD screen, 5MP selfie, 13MP + 2MP dual rear camera, Unisoc T610 chipset, and 5000mAh battery.
