HONOR ViewPad 6 and ViewPad X6 announced with Kirin 710A

    Huawei’s HONOR ViewPad 6 and ViewPad X6 models announced as the company’s latest tablets powered by Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin 710A SoC, 5-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front camera, and a 5100mAh battery capacity.

    HONOR brand used the parent company’s latest chip, and also the first Huawei HiSilicon Kirin chip to be made by Shanghai-based SMIC instead of Taiwan-based TSMC. This is the Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 710A chip.

    Both Android tablets are quite different from each other, and the only difference is the screen size. Where we have the HONOR ViewPad 6 with a 10.1-inch FHD QXGA IPS screen and an 80.6% screen-to-body ratio.

    On the other hand, the HONOR ViewPad X6 is built around a 9.7-inch HD WXGA IPS screen with a 75% screen-to-body ratio. Both devices pack a considerable amount of bezels at the top and bottom.

    The HONOR ViewPad 6 comes in Mint Green and Starry Sky Gray color option, and the HONOR ViewPad X6 in the Mint Green color option. These tablets come with kids mode, e-book reading mode, and Eye-protection mode.

    Both the ViewPad 6 and ViewPad X6 come with a single 5-megapixel rear camera with 1080p video recording support and a 2-megapixel front camera with HD video calling support.

    Both tablets are powered by HiSilicon Kirin 710A, which uses a 4 Cortex A73 2.0GHz and 4 Cortex A53 1.7GHz Soc. There is ARM Mali-G51 GPU to control the phone’s games graphic during intensive gaming sessions.

    You can find the tablets in either 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB or 128GB internal storage. Fortunately, you can easily expand the memory up to 512GB via a microSD card slot.

    These tablets run on Android 10 with Magic UI 3.1 out of the box, and they support the following connectivity options, 4G (Optional), Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, GLONASS, and USB 2.0 Type-C.

    In order to keep the tablet light on, HONOR plastered a 5,100mAh battery capacity, which the company boasts of 32 hours of talk-time and 600 hours of idle time. Sensors include Beidou, fingerprint sensor, Ambient light sensor, Gravity sensor, and Glonass.

    HONOR ViewPad 6 and ViewPad X6 Pricing

    HONOR is asking for 1099 yuan ($157) for the WiFi version of the ViewPad X6 3GB + 32GB, and 1199 yuan ($171) for 4GB + 64GB. While the 3GB + 32GB 4G version goes for 1199 yuan ($171). While the ViewPad X6 will be available in August.

    On the other hand, the Wi-Fi versions of ViewPad 6 3GB + 32GB cost 1299 yuan ($185), 4GB + 64GB is priced at 1399 yuan ($200), and the 4GB + 128GB goes for 1699 yuan ($243).

    While the HONOR is asking for 1599 yuan ($228) for the ViewPad 6 4GB + 64GB 4G and 1899 yuan ($271) for the HONOR ViewPad 6 4GB + 128GB 4G model. The HONOR ViewPad 6 is available for order and goes on sale in China from July 28th.
