9mobile eSIM launched with a free 7GB worth of Data when activated, and it is compatible with Samsung S20 Series, iPhone XR, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone 11 series, Google Pixel 3, 3 XL, Pixel 4, and 4 XL Smartphones.
In Nigeria, 9mobile isn’t the first to announce the eSIM (embedded-SIM), MTN also introduced its eSIM last month, including its activation process, and eligible phones.
For starters, eSIM is more like a programmable SIM card that is embedded directly into a device. Common with normal standard SIM cards, you no longer require to change the SIM card from time to time.
With respect to this embedded SIM, there’ll be no requirement for a connector, and it also improves reliability and security. Well, all this aforementioned features are quite common with the traditional physical plastic SIM cards.
Fortunately, 9mobile has made it very simple to activate 9mobile eSIM, you can just work inside any of 9mobile’s Experience Centres to request an eSIM activation. The personnel involved will complete all the procedures.
However, when you walk into the experience center and request for it, a QR code will be provided to scan and download an eSIM profile and perform the usual SIM registration.
On the other hand, for those that want to change to an eSIM will only do a SIM swap at the select Experience Centre. Although, users who already purchased a new phone and want to swap back to regular SIM have no problems as they will get a physical SIM card at the 9mobile Experience Centre.
After that, you can then activate 9mobile’s eSIM service to enjoy up to 7GB data. This will enable you to get a free 7GB when you activate the 9mobile eSIM.
With the eSIM, it’ll be very easy and simple for frequent travelers, as you will no longer need to switch between network operators and businesses can now have more than one number. Users will no longer cut SIM cards to suit their new phones.
Understand that with the embedded SIM, nothing short of service is to be reasoned. As you are still allowed to use your smartphone without Sim card and you’ll be able to receive and make calls normally.
