How to pre-order Google Nest Audio smart speaker for $99

    At its online event, Google announced a replacement for the original 2016 Google Home, it is the Nest Audio smart speaker that you can preorder right now at $99 and will be available starting October 5th in 21 countries.

    To pre-order the Nest Audio smart speaker in the US, Canada, and India on October 5, you have to visit the product selling page and follow the procedures as outlined on the page.

    Meanwhile, the Nest Audio will then spread to 18 other countries on October 15th. You can choose between dark gray, light gray, green, pink, or blue color options for beautification.

    It is a smart speaker, which means you still get Google Assistant speakers features available such as play music, control smart home devices, and others. Also available are multiple pairing units in stereo or other configurations for multiroom audio setups.

    For entertainment, you can easily connect two Nest Audio speakers to get stereo sound and move the music to go with you when you enter another room (through Google Assistant commands). You can also play the same music on all of your Google Home/Nest speakers at the same time.

    The Nest Audio is Google’s newest smart speaker powered by the Google Assistant, and it arrives as a mid-range device like the Google Home, but it is $30 cheaper at launch than its predecessor and offers features more than the Nest Mini.

    Aside from the Google Assistant built-in for Nest Audio with loafy rectangle design, and Alexa assistance built-in for Echo with sphere design. Both devices cost $99, making Amazon, Google’s main competitor, as Nest Audio goes head-to-head with the Echo.

    It also comes below when compared with the Google Nest Max in the lineup. Sitting in between these two devices, the Nest Audio gets you a sound system that Google says it is 75% louder and has 50% stronger bass than the original Google Home.

    Nest Audio comes with 75mm “mid-woofer” sound system and 19mm tweeter, three far-field mics, and a two-stage hardware mic mute switch. And claims you’ll get “full, clear and natural” sound since it spent more than 500 hours tuning it to ensure balanced lows, mids, and highs.

    Google Nest Audio comes with soft rounded corners and vaguely rectangular shape make and it is completely wrapped in fabric like Nest Mini and offers four colored LEDs embedded in the fabric that light up when the speaker hears or responds to a voice command, which is something similar to other Nest speakers.

    The Google Nest Audio is powered by a quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU clocked at 1.8GHz, weighs 1.2kg, and comes with 124mm width x 175mm height x 78mm depth dimensions and the speaker connects to Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac.

    Google mentioned that its enclosure is made from 70% recycled plastic, and sports Media EQ feature that lets Nest Audio automatically tune itself to whatever you’re listening to – music, podcasts, audiobooks, what have you.

    With Ambient IQ, the Nest Audio automatically adjusts the volume base on the background noise of what it’s playing in your home. Practically in the US, the Nest Audio Assistance learns from your most common music commands and responds two times faster than it did in the original Google Home.
