Huawei P50E announced with Snapdragon 778G 4G alongside Huawei FreeBuds 4E

    The HUAWEI P50E is among the devices launched by the company during the Spring Press Conference event, the nova 9 SE, and FreeBuds 4E. The HUAWEI P50E mid-range specifications and features.

    The Huawei P50E starts at 4088 yuan ($643) for the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage model and goes up to 4488 yuan ($706) for the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage option. While the HUAWEI FreeBuds 4E is priced at 699 yuan ($110).

    It comes in four colors – Obsidian Black, Cocoa Gold, Snow White, and Galaxy Blue option. The new Smartphone brings IP68 ratings for dust and water resistance and packs a frosted glass back with 7.92mm thick, and weighs 181g.

    On the front is a 6.5-inch FHD+ OLED display with a P3 color gamut, 1,440Hz PWM dimming, and up to 1.07 billion colors. It comes with support for a 90Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling, and a 300Hz touch sampling rate.

    The punch-hole screen houses a 13-megapixels front camera and two large circles that house a primary 50-megapixels f/1.8 True-Chroma Camera, combined with 13-megapixels f/2.2 ultra-wide camera. These cameras bring new XD Fusion Pro filter system can improve the light input and dynamic range performance of the device

    Lastly is the f/3.4 12-megapixels periscope telephoto camera with OIS, which supports 5x zoom and up to 80x digital zoom. The connectivity includes Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2 LE, Dual SIM, GPS, and NFC.

    Powering up the Smartphone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 4G processor, its a 6nm chipset coupled with 4x 2.4GHz and 4x 1.8GHz Kryo 670 CPUs with Adreno 642L GPU. The Smartphone runs HarmonyOS 2 and packs a 4100mAh battery with a 66W HUAWEI SuperCharge.

    During the launch, Huawei also brought three new colors for its P50 Pro flagship – Cloud Brocade White and Danxia Orange models feature a faux leather texture while the Galaxy Blue hue features a frosted glass finish.

    Adding to the FreeBuds 4 series, the FreeBuds 4E debuts with a semi-open in-ear design for better airflow and a more comfortable wearing experience. There’s a dual-microphone hybrid active noise-canceling system, and a 14.3 mm dynamic driver.

    It supports Bluetooth 5.2, low latency for gaming, IPX4 for splash resistance and offers up to 2.5h usage per bud on a single charge. The most unique feature is activating noise reduction – it is an adaptive noise reduction technology.

    After activation, it’ll identify the current ear canal anatomy and wearing condition and intelligently match the optimum parameters in various sets of noise reduction parameters, resulting in exclusive noise reduction benefits for your ears.

    Well, there are some controls here – double tap/long press/slide gestures, and it can receive notifications, thanks to Huawei’s “Quick Reminder” function. Both devices will be available from March 24th in China.
