In the last week of August 2020, Infinix announces its latest flagship Smartphone that is powered by MediaTek Helio G90T chipset, it is the Infinix Zero 8 with a 90Hz refresh rate display.
It is the official successor to the Infinix Zero 6, where the company jumped its numberings from the Zero 6, missed the 7 to the Zero 8 flagship phone. However, like Zero 6 and 6 PRO, we aren’t sure if the company will announce the Zero 8 PRO later.
At first, a Shenzhen-based smartphone manufacturer, Transsion Holdings subsidiaries Tecno and Infinix focused on sales at developing markets in Africa and Southeast Asia, but the company is aiming at the global markets.
With its best phone ever, the Infinix Zero 8 boasts of major high-end flagship features and specifications. Although, the mobile phone packs a handful of camera features, let’s begin from the display.
For the first time for Infinix Mobility, the company announced a Smartphone, its flagship with a 90Hz refresh rate display that enables smooth scrolling. And it comes with a 180Hz touch sampling rate.
With a 6.85-inch FHD+ IPS LCD screen display, Zero 8 looks more premium and attractive with its self-claim smooth display. The front display comes with reduced bezels and slimmer ones at the bottom of the display.
Infinix definitely did a great job on the design, offering a Gem Cut Surface, which is inspired by the Louvre’s “Diamond Glass” design, Infinix says. Its Gem Cut design offers a more sophisticated and breathtaking design.
Other features include the headphone jack, FM radio receiver, and side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It sports aesthetic gradient colors in triple options, where the borders of the rear get a different paint job on all three.
There is a pill-shaped cutout for the dual 48-megapixels with 4K recording and 8-megapixels selfie cameras. The company claims that this is the World’s First Ultra Night & Ultra Wide Angle.
Infinix new innovation did not just end on the front, around the back is a unique rhombus-shaped quad-camera lens. The main Sony IMX686 64-megapixels ultra night camera sensor with EIS, and 4K video recording.
Alongside is the 8-megapixels ultrawide snapper with 2.5cm Macro Camera support and Ultra Steady Pro Video, 2-megapixels low light sensor, and 2-megapixels bokeh depth data.
Still, on the same page, Zero 8 is fueled by a moderate 4500mAh battery capacity and comes with supports for 33W SuperCharge charging via USB Type-C port, which ditches its previous uses of the traditional MicroUSB port.
Well, the company says that the 4500mAh battery can charge up to 70% in 30 minutes, and will last a full day. On review, it takes an hour and 12minutes to get a completely full charge.
The Infinix Zero 8 powered by a MediaTek’s gaming processor, Helio G90T chipset with Mali-G76 MC4 GPU, up to 8GB RAM, and 128GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 2TB via a dedicated microSD card slot.
The Infinix Zero 8 runs on Android 10 OS with Infinix XOS 7 on top, and the pricing starts at IDR 3,799,000 ($258) in Indonesia, where it will go on sale on August 31. However, you can order for the phone right now at $250 global pricing.
