iQOO U5x officially launched in China with Snapdragon 680 chipset

    This is the iQOO U5x – the company’s latest Smartphone and the direct successor to the iQOO U5 handset that was introduced last December in China. The new iQOO U5x brings slightly better specifications and features.

    It uses a standard 60Hz refresh rate on its 6.51-inch 720pixels HD+ LCD Screen with a 20:9 aspect ratio, 16.7 Million colors, and features NTSC 70% Color Gamut. It brings a waterdrop notch display for a selfie snapper.

    The iQOO U5x is 8.28mm thick, weighs 179g, and comes in Starlight Black and Polar Day Blue colors options. It uses a dynamic design body build, features volume up/down buttons, and a power button that doubles as a fingerprint scanner.

    It uses a 3.5mm audio jack, and connectivity includes dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, supports Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and Dual nano-SIM. The iQOO U5x comes in two memory configurations and three cameras in total including front and back cameras.

    There is the dual-camera setup, featuring a primary 13-megapixels f/2.2 sensor, and accompanied by a 2-megapixels f/2.4 macro sensor. These cameras can shoot 1080p video recording support and comes with an 8-megapixels selfie sensor with an f/2.0 aperture.

    The iQOO U5x is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor, it’s a 6nm chipset coupled with Adreno 610 GPU. It comes in 4GB and 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB UFS 2.2 storage, and any of the options is fortunately expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card slot.

    It comes with a virtual RAM expansion feature that will allow up to 4GB of expansion, runs OriginOS Ocean based on Android 11 OS out of the box, and packs a gigantic 5000mAh battery with support for 10W charging through a traditional microUSB port.

    The iQOO U5x uses Multi-Turbo 5.5 allowing more management and optimization of deep storage, CPU, and network. It starts at 899 yuan ($141) for the 4GB RAM, and 1099 yuan ($172) for the 8GB RAM model. The company said it’ll be available from April 1st in China.
