After launching their latest iPhones, the Cupertino trillion dollar company also announced a new feature called eSIM, which allows dual SIM for their Smartphone, which is the very first time.
Obviously, the latest Apple iPhones in 2018, which includes iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR all comes with dual SIM mode, and it supports one physical SIM card and one eSIM.
But it is different from what is happening in China, as they all come with complete dual-SIM setup, all thanks to the country’s specifications. While in India, it can now be used from Indian cellular operators including Airtel and Reliance Jio.
How to set up Jio eSIM on iPhone
*. Go to Reliance Jio store for an SIM
*. Fill a CAF (Customer Acquisition Form)
*. It will be entered into a POS machine
*. SIM swap option will be chosen
*. It will generate a barcode and SIM details
*. And you can scan it using the Cellular option in Settings
*. It will creates an eSIM profile on the user’s iPhone
*. Once completed, the eSIM gets activated.
After the complete activation, the existing physical SIM card is deactivated. It works for all the latest Apple 2018 iPhones.
How to set up Jio eSIM on iPhone for new users
Below is the due process for new users on Reliance Jio’s network, who want eSIM.
*. Visit Reliance Jio store
*. Fill up the CAF details
*. It will be entered into a POS machine
*. It will generate a barcode and SIM details
*. And you can scan it using the Cellular option in Settings
*. It will creates an eSIM profile on the user’s iPhone
*. Once completed, the eSIM gets activated.
Understand that both the existing and new users, will be scanned the barcode on the eligible iPhone model. Once done, an eSIM profile is created on the phone. You will continue the verification and validation process.
