Lenovo Legion Y90 gaming handset with 68W fast charging and Legion Tab Y700 announced

    Lenovo Legion Y90 goes official in China alongside Legion Tab Y700. The new Legion Y90 is the company’s latest gaming phone with a 144Hz refresh rate support, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, and 68W fast charging support.

    The Lenovo Legion Y90 will be available to order and will go on sale in China starting from March 10th. And the company is offering a wide 300 yuan discount during the first sale. It’ll start at 4299 yuan ($681) for 12GB/256GB, 4599 yuan ($728) for 16GB/256GB and 5299 yuan ($839) for the 18GB/512GB.

    The new Legion Y90 comes with support for 68W fast charging, which can charge the phone’s 5600mAh battery up to 100% in 35 minutes. The new gaming Smartphone has gaming triggers, RGB rear lighting, and dual X-axis vibration motors.

    It comes with two USB-C port on the side that supports 10Gbps data transmission, DP video output, OTG, and reverse charging, and the other port supports 5Gbps data transmission, OTG, audio and reverse charging.

    Yea, it is a gaming handset with a big processor running through its vein, it needs some superb VC liquid cooling along with dual fan cooling. The active cooling system can provide an additional 4W of performance, and SSD can improve random write performance by 50%, Lenovo claims.

    When it comes to optics, the Lenovo Legion Y90 brings a dual rear camera setup, a primary 64-megapixels f/1.8 sensor with LED flash, and 13-megapixels 120° ultra-wide camera. On the front is a 16-megapixels front camera sensor.

    On the front is a 6.9-inch 1080 pixels Full HD+ 20:9 E4 AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate, 720Hz multi-finger touch sampling rate, DC Dimming and supports in-display fingerprint scanner. The mobile phone is 10.14mm thick and supports Dual SIM.

    The phone comes with Stereo speakers with 1.48cc chambers tuned by Dolby Atmos. The connectivity includes 5G NSA /SA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and NFC. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, a 4nm chipset.

    Coupled with Adreno 730 GPU, and comes in 12GB / 16GB RAM with 256GB internal memory, 18GB RAM with 512GB (UFS 3.1) + 128GB SSD internal memory. It runs Android 12 with ZUI 13 out of the box.

    In other news, the company also launched another Android-powered tablet – Lenovo Legion Tab Y700 with a gigantic 6550mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging that can charge the tablet up to 100% in 45 minutes via a USB-C 3.1 Gen2.

    It brings an 8.8-inch WQXGA LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, up to 500 nits brightness, and features a 7.9mm sleek metal frame. It is available in the Titanium Grey color option.

    The tablet has an x-axis ultra-wideband linear motor, 3.5mm audio jack, JBL Super Linear Stereo speakers, Smart PA, weighs 375g, and connectivity including Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax, and Bluetooth 5.1. It runs Android 11 with ZUi 13.0.

    The Lenovo Legion Tab Y700 comes with a 13-megapixels rear camera with LED flash and 8-megapixels front-facing camera. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 7nm with 1x 3.2GHz + 3x 2.42GHz + 4x 1.8GHz Hexa coupled with Adreno 650 GPU.

    It is available in 8GB RAM with 128GB storage and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, and it supports expandable memory up to 1TB with microSD. The Lenovo Legion Tab Y700 costs 2699 yuan ($427) / 2999 yuan ($475). It’ll go on sale in China starting from March 10th.
