The chipset maker, MediaTek increases its amusing series of 6nm processor. Introducing the MediaTek Dimensity 920 and Dimensity 810 processors, and both comes with advanced performance than its forerunner.
MediaTek Dimensity 920 and Dimensity 810 are the official successor to the MediaTek Dimensity 900 and Dimensity 800 respectively. While the specifications and features might be different from others, the chipset mainly differs separately with their predecessor.
As already mentioned, MediaTek Dimensity 920 and Dimensity 810 are built on TSMC’s 6nm manufacturing process. Dimensity 810 is the first 6nm chipset in the Dimensity 800 series, but Dimenisity 900 was built on TSMC’s 6nm process technology, same as the newer Dimensity 920, 1000 and 1200.
MediaTek Dimensity 810
MediaTek Dimensity 810 offers dual 5G stand-by, but comes with an older Cortex-A76 CPU cores clocked at 2.4GHz and Cortex-A55 CPUs clocked at 2GHz. It is coupled with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU and comes with support for up to 16GB LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage.
It supports 2520 x 1080 (Full HD+) at 21:9 120Hz, and can shoot 4K video at 60fps / 30fps. It comes with 16MP+16MP, 64MP, Hardware video HDR, AI-Color, AI-Bokeh, Hardware Depth Engine, Warping Engine, MediaTek 5G UltraSave, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, and GPS.
Compared to Dimensity 800, it was built on TSMC’s 7nm process technology, 4x Cortex-A76 and Cortex-A55 clocked at 2GHz, coupled with Mali-G57 MC4 GPU. It supports 32MP+16MP, 80MP, 5G SA with VoNR, and MediaTek 5G UltraSave.
MediaTek Dimensity 920
With the Dimensity 920 built on the 6nm manufacturing node, the company confirms that it offers a 9% boost in gaming performance and optimized design for power efficiency compared to its predecessor, the Dimensity 900.
The MediaTek Dimensity 920 packs a powerful Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.5GHz, Cortex-A55 CPU clocked at 2GHz, alongside a Mali-G68 MC4 GPU. It supports True Dual 5G SIM (5G SA + 5G SA) modes, VoNR service, Wi-Fi 6, 2×2 MIMO and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity.
Dimensity 920 provides better extra flexibility when it comes to building smartphones, thanks to the support for LPDDR4x and LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 2.2 and UFS 3.1 storage. It comes with 2520 x 1080 (Full HD+) at 21:9 120Hz refresh rate.
It arrives with 20MP+20MP, 108MP, Hardware video HDR, Hardware Depth Engine, and Warping Engine. Both MediaTek’s Dimensity 920 and Dimensity 810 are to power upcoming 5G Smartphones, and will launch around Q3 2021. Realme promises to launch the Realme 8s as the first phone with Dimensity 810 soon.
