MIUI 13 announced with advanced security- Which devices will get MIUI 13?

    Xiaomi’s next-generation UI for its smartphone has been officially launched by the co-founder of the company, Lei Jun, CEO – Introducing the MIUI 13 with advanced and improved privacy featured alongside enhanced security.

    With privacy and security on the top-front, Xiaomi enabled the three-step verification process for its MIUI 13 – How does it work – the base layer is facial recognition > watermark reading of the user’s ID, and completed with what the company is calling “electronic fraud protection”.

    Xioami explained that the electronic fraud protection has a record of websites and devices that might bring malware. Also, there is a full phonebook of numbers that will be saved as nefarious, and the user of the phone will be informed before he accepts the call.

    While the facial recognition is more like the upper-body recognition, where the user sets its face, but the phone records everything from the waist up, similar face isn’t that important here, where someone with a totally different body structures won’t be allowed in.

    One of the interesting features is the beta version of Mi Smart Hub, which brings a more connected experience between smart devices. Allowing users to easily find nearby devices and with a simple gesture to seamlessly share and access content such as music, display, even apps across multiple devices.

    In a single and detailed explanation, Xiaomi explained the importance of MIUI 13 “MIUI 13 focuses on improving core functions, with an overall fluidity increase of 52%. It enhances its self-developed Focused Algorithms, Atomized Memory, and Liquid Storage, and the new system focuses on optimizing computing capabilities for core apps during heavy usage”

    Xiaomi’s latest user interface, MIUI 13 allows multiple Xiaomi devices in one network to cooperate like never before, including phones, tablets, TV, smart wearables, smart home devices, and the XiaoAI voice assistant.

    The new UI tablet version will be adapted to more apps, and multiple free windows and physical keyboard shortcut keys. It has also released MIUI Watch, MIUI Home, MIUI TV, and Xiaomi smart devices.

    For further personalization, there is a new dynamic wallpapers for all phones on MIUI 13, where flowers will bloom from one side of the screen when powered. There are also plenty of widgets redesigned to align better in a grid.

    With the use of Atomized Memory and Liquid Storage technology, the company claims that the MIUI 13 prevents and reduces deterioration of read-write capabilities by 5% over a 36-month period, in after effect, it’ll prolong the lifespan of devices.

    Global users of the following Xiaomi phones should expect MIUI 13 from Q1 2022. The list includes the flagship Mi 11 series and all of its variations, Redmi Note 10 series, Redmi 8 (2021) and Xiaomi Pad 5 tablet.

    The Xiaomi MIUI 13 was launched at an event in China, and it is the original successor to the last year’s MIUI 12 and MIUI 12.5 UI. The company noted that the MIUI 13 will be available for international markets, and the global OTA update will roll out in Q1 2022.
