Motorola introduces its latest G-series Smartphones in India – Moto G60 and Moto G40 Fusion. Both mobile phones are comparative to each other and also comes with some distinctive features too.
Both phones are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G Mobile Platform, it is an 8nm chipset with its Hexa Kryo 470 CPUs clocking at 1.8GHz / 2.3GHz processor count. It also sports an Adreno 618 GPU for graphic control during gameplay.
These Smartphones arrive memory expansion up to ITB via MicroSD card slot. The Moto G40 Fusion comes in both 4GB RAM/64GB storage and 6GB RAM/128GB storage, while the Moto G60 only in 6GB RAM/128GB storage.
Moto used LPDDR4X for RAM and UFS 2.1 for storage, and both run Android 11 OS out of the box with Motorola’s My UX skin on top. There is support for Hybrid Dual SIM, which is either nano + nano / microSD.
Even the screen display is identical, a 6.8″ Max Vision FHD+ IPS LCD screen with support for a 120Hz refresh rate, which enables smooth scrolling. The display is HDR10 certified, 9.8mm thick, and both weigh 225g.
Other identical features include the P2i water repellent coating, 3.5 audio headphone jack, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, bottom-ported loudspeaker, FM Radio, and support for Business-Grade Security with ThinkShield for Mobile.
The major distinctive features are the cameras, the Moto G60 arrives with a primary Samsung’s HM2 108-megapixels rear camera, it is a 1/1.52″ sensor with 7P lens, 0.7μm pixel size, f/1.7 aperture, and support for LED flash.
In addition, we’ve got the f/2.2 8-megapixels ultra-wide sensor with 2.5cm macro, and 2-megapixels depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front is the 32-megapixels front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash.
While on the other hand, the Moto G40 Fusion settles for a primary 64-megapixels rear camera with LED flash, with the other two cameras similar to the Moto G60 – 8-megapixels ultra-wide sensor with macro and 2-megapixels depth sensor.
However, the camera cutout on the top display is slightly lower at 16-megapixels. The connectivity features include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), VoWiFi, Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, and NFC support.
Both phones come with a 6000mAh battery with 20W TurboPower fast charging through USB Type-C. While the pricing might be different, but ICICI bank card owners get flat discounts of INR 1,000 on the G40 Fusion and INR 1,500 on the G60.
The Moto G60 single variant, 6GB RAM / 128GB storage costs INR 17,999 ($240 USD) and will be available starting from April 27 at 12 noon. While the Moto G40 Fusion 4GB RAM / 64GB storage costs INR 13,999 ($186 USD).
And the 6GB RAM / 128GB storage variant is priced at INR 15,999 ($212 USD) and will be available from Flipkart starting from May 1st. There are the launch offers for both devices as mentioned above.
