HMD Global, Nokia has rolled out Android 9 Pie Update for the Nokia 5.1 Smartphone, and users can now update their device right now.
The company made mention that the update is available via OTA, and promises that the update will definitely meet the Nokia 5.1 users within some days from today.
HMD Global also released the March updates for Nokia 5.1 Plus and Nokia 8.1 smartphones. And it is also available for users via over-the-air.
Recall that the Nokia 5.1 mobile handset was launched in May 2018, and it runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. But the latest Android OS is now available to the users.

How to update your Nokia 5.1
As per what the Chief Product Officer at HMD Global, Juho Sarvikas said on Twitter, the Android Pie update for Nokia 5.1 will automatically reach the smartphone.
But in other case, you can still go ahead and easily update the mobile phone right now by following the following procedures: Settings > About Phone > System updates.
Already mentioned above, HMD Global has released the March update for the Nokia 8.1 and Nokia 5.1 Plus. You can also choose to wait for the update.
Or you can update via the manual procedures, Settings > About Phone > System updates. The Nokia 8.1 March update is live in India and Poland, and the size is 126MB.
While the Nokia 5.1 Plus March update is also live in India, and the size is 84.6MB. The both update brings just the March Android security patch. The choice of update is left to you.
