Nokia 5.3 announced with 20:9 display and Snapdragon 665 chips

    HMD Global announces the Nokia 5.3 Android-powered Smartphone at online events. It sports a 6.55-inch 20:9 display, powered by Snapdragon 665 with up to 6GB of RAM, QUAD rear cameras and runs on Android 10 out of the box.

    The Nokia 5.3 is the company’s new mid-range phone with a Nordic-inspired design, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor scanner, and a tough polymer 3D frame with scratch-resistant coating.

    There’s a dedicated Google Assistant button, fingerprint sensor scanner at the back panel, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and sports a 6.55-inch HD+ 20:9 aspect ratio screen with 60Hz display.

    At the back sits a QUAD camera setup, which includes the main 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, 2-megapixel depth, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor.

    While the water-drop notch display hosts the single 8-megapixels front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. It supports Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS and FM Radio.

    It runs on an Octa-Core Snapdragon 665 11nm Mobile Platform, with Adreno 610 GPU. It is available in either 4GB / 6GB RAM, with only 64GB storage, which can be expandable up to 512GB via microSD card slot.

    The Nokia 5.3 runs on Android 10 OS out of the box, available in Cyan, Sand, and Charcoal color options, supports Dual SIM and fueled by a 4000mAh battery capacity with 10W charging, which can last for 2 days.

    For the time being, HMD Global announced that the Nokia 5.3 pricing will start at 189 Euros ($201) for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version from the end of April. We are still not yet sure of the 6GB RAM version.
