HMD Global officially launches a wide list of affordable Smartphones running Android 11 Go Edition out of the box – Nokia C2 2nd Edition, Nokia C21, and its Nokia C21 Plus handset. These phones will roll out in select countries.
The Nokia C21/C21 Plus comes in a Warm Grey option, Dark Blue for C21, and Dark Cyan for C21 Plus. The Nokia C2 2nd Edition comes in Blue and Grey colors. These three phones come with a 3.5mm audio jack for headphones, and support for FM Radio.
Nokia C21 and Nokia C21 Plus
Starting with the Nokia C21 and Nokia C21 Plus, these are the official successor to last year’s C20 and C20 Plus. When it comes to comparison, the Nokia C21 series are in a better place than the Nokia C20 series, there are major differences and similarities.
The Nokia C21 and C21 Plus come with a 6.5-inch 720 pixels HD+ 20:9 toughened glass screen, the v-notch display features 5-megapixels front-facing camera with selfie features such as screen brighten, AF and others.
Around the back is a single 8-megapixels sensor for the Nokia C21, a dual-camera setup of a 13-megapixels sensor, and an additional 2-megapixels depth sensor. The main cameras on both phones support autofocus with an LED Flash camera.
Both handsets are powered by a 1.6GHz Octa-Core Unisoc SC9863A processor with IMG8322 GPU and are available in 2GB / 3GB RAM with 32GB / 64GB (eMMC 5.1) storage, and fortunately expandable up to 256GB with microSD card support.
The Nokia C21 and C21 Plus is 8.8mm / 8.55 mm thick, weighs 195g, 178g (4,000mAh) / 191g (5050mAh) respectively. The plus variant comes with an IP52 rating for water/dust resistance. The connectivity includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS + GLONASS.
Both use a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, where the Nokia C21 sports a 3,000mAh battery with 5W charging, the C21 Plus packs a 4,000mAh / 5050mAh battery with 10W charging supports. These phones draw power from the traditional micro-USB port.
The Nokia C21 starts at €99 ($110) and will roll out from the end of March, and the Nokia C21 Plus starts at €119 ($132) / £99.99 and will roll out in the UK from April. Both phones will roll out in some countries.
Nokia C2 2nd Edition
The Nokia C2 2nd Edition comes with a smaller 5.7-inch (480 x 960 pixels) FWVGA+ display, 5-megapixels back camera, and 2-megapixels front camera with LED Flash support. It is 9.55mm thick and weighs 180g. It comes with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS.
It is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core unknown processor coupled with 1GB / 2GB RAM, and 32GB internal storage, expandable up to 256GB with microSD and 2,400mAh removable battery with 5W charging via micro USB port. It costs €79 ($88) / £74.99 and will roll out from April and will be available in the UK in May.
