POCO M2 announced with 6.53-inch screen and Helio G80 SoC

    POCO M2 announced as the company’s latest Smartphone with a 6.53-inch Full HD+ LCD screen display, 13-megapixel QUAD-rear cameras, 8-megapixel front camera, and it is powered by MediaTek Helio G80 8nm processor.

    The POO M2 is a toned-down variant of the POCO M2 Pro that was launched in July. With this on the table, you will have to expect more souper specs and features of the POCO M2 PRO.

    Around the back is a QUAD camera setup, which includes the primary 13-megapixel AI camera, 8-megapixel 118° ultra-wide-angle lens, 5-megapixel 4cm macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

    Inside the water-drop-notch on the top front display is the 8-megapixel selfie shooter. It sports a 6.53-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with 400 nits brightness, 1080 pixels screen resolution, and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

    It packs a two-tone pattern with anti-fingerprint texture, features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and offers Brick Red, Pitch Black, and Slate Blue color options. It comes with P2i coating for splash resistance.

    POCO M2

    The POCO M2 is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio G80 12nm processor, clocking at Dual 2GHz Cortex-A75 + Hexa 1.8GHz 6x Cortex-A55 CPUs with up to 950MHz ARM Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU.

    It comes in two major memory configurations, offering 6GB RAM with 64GB / 128GB internal storage, which can be expandable up to 512GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. The company uses LPPDDR4x RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage.

    The phone comes with a 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio, and linear speakers for quality sound systems. The connectivity features includes Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS.

    It packs a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging via USB Type-C but comes with a 10W charger in the box. The 6GB RAM/64GB storage costs Rs. 10,999 ($150), and Rs. 12,499 ($170) for the higher 128GB storage. The phone will be available for purchase via Flipkart starting from September 15th.
