Realme 7i announced with 90Hz refresh rate and Snapdragon 662 SoC

    Realme 7i launched in India with mid-range specs and features, which pushes 90Hz refresh rate to affordable Smartphones, including 64-megapixel QUAD-rear cameras, and driven by Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor.

    The Realme 7i is the third Smartphone in the Realme 7 series lineup, which sees the vanilla Realme 7, and the Realme 7 PRO phones earlier this month in India.

    With the cutting-edge technology, the 7i boasts considerable features at an inexpensive cost. The details were seen from the company’s Indonesian branch through an online event.

    The company also introduced the Realme 7 in Indonesia, sporting an 8GB/128GB and a feature that was missing from the India version, it is the built-in multi-functional NFC chip.

    In Indonesia, the newly announced Realme 7 goes for IDR3,999,000 ($270) in Mist White and Mist Blue colors and will go on sale from September 18 via Realme’s local online store. Although, the company is touting a limited offer of IDR3,899,000 ($260).

    The Realme 7i

    The similarities and differences between the Realme 7 and Realme 7i are quite noticeable, starting from the processor, reduced FHD+ display, camera arrangement, and others.

    Realme 7 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G95 chipset, which is different from the Realme 7i with Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC that clocks at Quad Kryo 260 x2 running at 2GHz / 1.8GHz CPUs with Adreno 610 GPU.

    Instead of a side-mounted fingerprint scanner on the Realme 7, the latter 7i sees a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The Realme 7i is offered in Aurora Green and Polar Blue colors options. The designs of the phones are different.

    Aside from the FullHD+ on Realme 7 that drops to HD+ on Realme 7i, both phones sport a 6.5-inch 720pixels LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, and the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass with Mirror design.

    Around the back, the camera arrangement is quite different, the main f/1.8 64-megapixels rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 8-megapixels 119° ultra-wide camera, dual f/2.4 2-megapixels B&W sensor, and 4cm macro cameras.

    Realme 7i

    Where Sony’s IMX471 16-megapixels front-facing camera is held inside the top hole-punch display with f/2.1 aperture. It comes with a 3.5mm audio jack, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, and GPS with P2i coating for splash resistance.

    The rest features are acceptable, 8GB LPDDR4x RAM, 128GB UFS 2.1 storage, expandable up to 256GB with microSD, runs Android 10 with realme UI, and an identical 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging via USB Type-C.

    As expected, the Realme 7i comes in Dual SIM mode that supports nano + nano + microSD. The Realme 7i is priced at 31,99,000 Indonesian Rupiah ($215), although, there is an early price at IDR3,099,000 ($205) and will on sale in Indonesia from the 18th of September.
