Realme 8 5G introduced in India with 5000mAh and 90Hz refresh rate

    Realme introduces its latest mid-range Smartphone, the realme 8 5G with an LCD display panel, 90Hz refresh rate, 5000mAh battery, and it is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor.

    The realme 8 5G was first announced in Thailand at THB 9,999 for the 8GB/128GB, and today, it makes its debut in India. The 4GB RAM with 128GB storage costs Rs. 14,999 ($200) and the 8GB/128GB storage costs Rs. 16,999 ($227).

    You can easily order the device from Flipkart, realme.com, and offline stores from April 28th. While Europe will be getting its own version for 199 Euros later next month, May 2021.

    On the front is a 6.5-inch Full HD+ LCD screen panel, boasts of 90.5% screen-to-body ratio, up to 600 nits brightness, and comes with support for 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate.

    There is a punch-hole at the top left display that hosts a 16-megapixel camera with f/2.1 aperture. It features a triple rear camera setup, the main sensor is the 48-megapixel Samsung GM1 lens with an f/1.8 lens, 48M Mode, etc.

    It comes with a secondary f/2.4 2-megapixel monochrome sensor with a portrait lens and another 2-megapixel macro sensor with an f/2.4 lens. These cameras come with support for Nightscape, Pro Mode, AI Scan, and Super Macro.

    Powering the device is an Octa-Core MediaTek Dimensity 700 7nm processor with Dual 2.2GHz Cortex-A76 and Hexa 2GHz Cortex-A55 CPUs. There is a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU and runs Android 11 OS with realme UI 2.0.

    It comes in a single memory configuration, 4GB / 8GB LPDDR4x RAM with 128GB storage, and it is expandable up to 1TB with MicroSD and support for Dual SIM, which nano + nano / microSD.

    Around the side is a biometric sensor, fingerprint scanner, and other features include a 3.5mm audio jack, Hi-Res Audio, and connectivity options includes 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.1, and GPS.

    Realme 8 5G is definitely an upgrade to the Realme 8 that was launched in India last month and there was the Realme 8 Pro also. The realme 8 5G comes in Supersonic Blue and Supersonic Black color options.

    The device arrives with Dynamic RAM Expansion (DRE) technology that is claimed to convert the built-in storage into virtual RAM. It is 8.5mm thick, weighs 185g, and sports a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging through USB Type-C.
