Realme GT Neo comes with Dimensity 1200 and Realme V13 5G

    In a single launch event, Realme announces two major Smartphones – Realme V13 5G with 90Hz screen and Realme GT Neo with 120Hz AMOLED display and both differ from each with MediaTek’s chipset powering both phones.

    The Realme GT Neo is almost identical to the Realme GT 5G and it is a more affordable version of the original Realme GT that was announced earlier this month. On the other hand, the Realme V13 5G is just an average midrange device that is affordable.

    The Realme GT Neo bold rear panel design is intriguing, this quite similar design to its standard Snapdragon 888-powered sibling – Realme GT, although, the finishes and pattern on the rear panel are clearly the only major differences.

    Where the Realme GT comes in glass and vegan leather options, and the Realme GT Neo follows up the Realme 8 lineup pattern, featuring a plastic rear panel. However, it is 8.4mm thick and weighs 179g, which is slimmer and very light.

    The Realme GT Neo comes in Fantasy gradient, Geek Silver, or Hacker Black color options and its design includes a monochrome sticker on the back that shines in all colors of the rainbow under lighting with a touch of glamour to the three colors.

    It is built around a 6.43-inch Samsung Super AMOLED display with 1080 pixels (FHD+) resolution and comes with support for 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, in-display fingerprint scanner, and boasts of 91.7% screen-to-body ratio.

    There is a punch hole at the top left corner for the 16-megapixels front-facing camera. Around the back are the triple camera setup, Sony IMX682 64-megapixels primary shooter, 8-megapixels 119° ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixels macro sensor.

    It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 6nm chipset, as a matter of fact, it is the world’s first smartphone to launch with this chipset and comes in three RAM options – 6GB, 8GB, and 12GB in either 64GB and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage.

    It also supports dual graphite plates and a 3D tempered VC liquid cooling system, Realme claims that this cooling solution can reduce the core temperature by up to 15℃. This is to keep the thermal in check and it is essential for gamers.

    The Realme GT Neo is backed by a 4,500mAh battery with 50W charging support through a USB Type-C port and will also with a 65W fast charger and a transparent case, which is similar to the higher variant, although the fast-charging capacity was different.

    There is also a GT Mode for dedicating as much performance as possible to the game at hand, and the phone runs Realme UI 2.0 out of the box based on Android 11.

    It supports dual-SIM 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, stereo speakers by Dolby Sound, Hi-Res Audio certification, 3.5mm headphone jack, and it lacks a MicroSD card slot.

    The Realme GT Neo 6GB RAM / 128GB storage costs CNY1,799 ($274), 8GB RAM / 128GB storage goes for CNY1,899 ($305) and the top-end 12 RAM / 256GB storage option set you back for CNY2,399 ($366).

    You can order the device from Realme’s own website and major online retailers in China. The first flash sale scheduled for next Wednesday, April 7.

    The Realme V13 5G comes in Black and Blue color options, with a 6.5” LCD with Full HD+ resolution, support for 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, and 600nits brightness with 90.5% screen-to-body ratio.

    Inside the three of four circles around the back are the cameras, a 48-megapixels f/1.8 camera with a 6P lens, 2-megapixel depth assist lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera with a 4cm focal length. While the 8-megapixel sensor stays as the front-facing camera.

    Powering the device is a Dimensity 700 7nm chipset with two CPU cores running at 2.2 GHz coupled with 8GB RAM and either 128GB or 256GB storage and a dedicated microSD slot for expansion.

    It runs on Realme UI 2.0 based Android 11 OS, supports a 3.5 mm audio jack and dual 5G capabilities over SA/NSA networks. It comes with a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging via the USB-C port on the bottom, and Realme will provide the required brick in the box.

    The Realme V13 5G first flash sale will commence on Saturday, April 2. Where the 128GB storage options go for CNY1,599 ($245) and CNY1,799 ($275) for the 256GB storage variant, both come with 8GB RAM and first pre-orders have commenced.
