Xiaomi announces its latest Redmi smartphones in Malaysia, it includes the Redmi 9C and Redmi 9A phones with a 6.53-inch LCD Dot Drop notch screen, 13MP cameras, MediaTek Helio, and a 5000mAh battery capacity.
The both phones were officially introduced with the new MediaTek Helio G35 and Helio G25 processor powering the phones inside. The tech specs were introduced via Xiaomi’s Facebook page.
Earlier this month, Xiaomi was quite busy with the Redmi line, they recently unveiled the Redmi 9, and they have added two more devices to the series.

Both phones arrive with a distinctive spec difference, and that is the Mediatek Helio inside the phones. The Redmi 9C is the first smartphone to be powered by the 2.3GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio G35 processor.
While on the other hand, the Redmi 9A is also the first Smartphone to be powered by the 2GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio G25 processor. Both chipsets are the company’s latest budget SoCs in the gaming-focused G series.
On the back of the Redmi 9C is a triple camera setup, which consists of the main 13-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel ultra-wide and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
While on the other hand, the Redmi 9A carries a single 13-megapixel rear camera. However, both phones come with a single 5-megapixel front-facing camera, which is inside the dot drop screen.

Every other tech specs remain the same, Android 10, 2GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, Dual SIM, 3.5mm audio jack, IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU, and a moderate 5000mAh battery capacity that supports charging at up to 10W.
Another major difference is the fingerprint sensor scanner, where the Redmi 9C supports a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and the Redmi 9A lacks that biometric sensor.
The Redmi 9A is costs RM359 ($85) whereas the Redmi 9C goes for RM429 ($100), you can purchasing the phones in Malaysia starting July 7 and July end respectively through Lazada.
