Earlier this month, Redmi announced the Redmi 9A in the country, and today, the company has introduced a replica in India, known as Redmi 9i with more RAM and storage.
Well, this isn’t the first time the company did something like this. Chinese Smartphone makers are known for confusing their line of smartphones. Last month in India, Redmi launched the Redmi 9 as Redmi 9 Prime in India and Redmi 9 as Redmi 9C international version.
However, the Redmi 9A is introduced by Xiaomi under its Redmi brand, and it comes with a 6.53-inch 720 pixels screen resolution for a more vivid screen display, offering HD+ 20:9 IPS LCD Dot Drop screen.
The Dot Drop houses a single 5-megapixels sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and around the back is a single f/2.2 13-megapixels sensor with LED Flash support. The phone uses a Face Unlock biometric sensor to supplement the lack of a fingerprint scanner.
Redmi 9i is powered by a 2GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio G25 processor with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU, runs Android 10 with MIUI 12 on top, 4GB LPDDR4x RAM with either 64GB / 128GB storage, expandable up to 512GB with a microSD card slot.
The Redmi 9i sports an Aura 360 design with support for a friendly texture that doesn’t attract smudges or fingerprints and offers a good comfortable grip. It also packs P2i coating for splash-proof.
Other specifications include a 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio, measures 9mm, weighs 194g, and come in Midnight Black, Sea Blue, and Nature Green color options, which will definitely suit your fashion sense.
Redmi 9i packs a 5000mAh battery that charges through a MicroUSB port at up to 10W. Where the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage starts at Rs. 8,299 ($110), and Rs. 9299 ($127) for the 4GB RAM with 128GB storage.
