Redmi Note 11 and Note 11S announced with AMOLED display and 33W fast charging

    Redmi Note 11 series officially launched, starting with the budgeted handsets, Redmi Note 11 and Note 11S with a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, and features a 5000mAh battery capacity that brings support for a 33W fast charging.

    Alongside the series includes the Note 11 Pro and Note 11 Pro 5G. The Note 11 is the basic of them all, followed by the Note 11S. However, these two bring simple and friendly budgeted costs to the table. Well, there are some upgrades over the predecessors.

    Both offer a 6.43-inch FHD+ 1080pixels AMOLED display with DCI-P3 color gamut, up to 700nits peak brightness, and 90Hz refresh rate with 180Hz touch sampling rate. They are slightly differentiated by a few millimeters in dimension and are also lighter at 179g.

    These handsets come with IP53 Splash resistant, Gorilla Glass 3 protection and are both available in Pearl/Polar White, Twilight Blue, and Graphite Gray colors options. These features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner support, a 3.5mm audio jack, and Stereo speakers.

    For optics, the Note 11 comes with a 13-megapixels f/2,4 selfie sensor inside the dot-notch display. While the Note 11S brings a 16-megapixels f/2.4 front-facing camera sensor. The back of both phones holds QUAD-camera sensor support.

    The main difference is the main camera, a 50-megapixels f/1.8 sensor on the Note 11 and the Note 11S brings 108-megapixels Samsung HM2 sensor with f/1.9 aperture. Both pack an 8-megapixels 118° ultra-wide-angle camera, and a dual 2-megapixels camera as depth and macro sensor.

    Redmi Note 11 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 6nm Mobile Platform coupled with Adreno 610 GPU for graphics performance, and unlike the Note 11S, it starts at 4GB LPDDR4X RAM with 64GB / 128GB UFS 2.2 internal storage.

    Where the Note 11 is driven by a MediaTek Helio G96 12nm processor with dual 2.05GHz A76 and Hexa 2GHz A55 CPUs coupled with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It comes in a bigger 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB UFS 2.2 internal storage.

    Both models are available in a 6GB LPDDR4X RAM with 64GB UFS 2.2 internal storage, and support memory expansion up to 1TB with microSD. These packs a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging that can charge up to 100% in around an hour.

    The Note 11 series runs Android 11 with MIUI 13 out of the box, brings support for Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C, and some selected markets will support NFC payment feature.

    The Redmi Note 11 4GB/64GB is priced at $179 (NGN74,350 Nigerian Naira approx.), 4GB/128GB costs $199 (NGN82,650 Nigerian Naira approx.), and $229 (NGN95,108 Nigerian Naira approx.) for 6GB/128GB models.

    On the other hand, the Redmi Note 11S 6GB/64GB variant costs $249 (NGN103,415 Nigerian Naira approx.), 6GB/128GB costs $279 (NGN115,875 Nigerian Naira approx.), and $299 (NGN124,180.68 Nigerian Naira approx.) for 8GB/128GB models.

    The company is offering an early bird pricing for the Note 11S at $229, a $20 discount on the 6GB/64GB model, and $159 for the Note 11, a discount of $20 and $30 when they go on sale on January 28th and 29th on AliExpress.
