Xiaomi introduces Redmi Note 11, Note 11 Pro, Note 11 Pro+ and Redmi Watch 2

    During the last days of October, Xiaomi announced three ranges of smartphones in its new Redmi Note 11 series – Which includes Redmi Note 11, Note 11 Pro, and Note 11 Pro+, and these are the successor to the Redmi Note 10 series.

    The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ is the biggest here and it bears some specifications similar to the Note 11 Pro. Both handsets come with a 6.67-inch FHD+ 1080pixels AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, DCI-P3 color gamut, 1200nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

    It features a 1.75mm ultra-narrow bezel and a tiny 2.96mm punch-hole. While the Redmi Note 11 sports a 6.6-inch FHD+ screen with an adaptive refresh rate depending on what you are doing on your screen display, from 50Hz, 50Hz, and 90Hz variable refresh rate.

    Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus

    The design between these phones varies – where the Note 11 sports a plastic back design, Note 11 Pro features a flat-edge design and a frosted AG glass back and the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ comes in YIBO DESIGN limited edition, designed in collaboration with Redmi’s brand ambassador Wang Yibo.

    Redmi Note 11 Pro+ features the world’s first holographic suspension manufacturing process, a micron-level Redmi logo appears suspended on the surface of the rear, and a set of racing strips inspired by an auto racing track, and a fluorescent green signature by Wang Yibo.

    Redmi Note 11 is 8.75mm thick, weighs 195g, and comes in Mysterious Black, Milky Way Blue, and Mint Green color. The Note 11 Pro+ is available in Mysterious Black, Forest Green, Timeless Purple, and the Note 11 Pro add Milky Way Blue (Glossy) option.

    The Redmi Note 11 Pro and Note 11 Pro+ sport a triple camera setup around the back panel, featuring a 108-megapixels rear camera with 1/1.52″ Samsung HM2 sensor with support for 9-in-1 pixel binning technology that offers large 2.1μm pixels.

    Something spectacular about the main camera is the dual native ISO that promises clear and textured images with reduced noise, even in low light conditions. In addition, there is an 8-megapixels ultra-wide camera with a 120° field-of-view and a 2-megapixels telemacro camera.

    On the other hand, the Note 11 arrives at a dual-camera setup, featuring a reduced primary camera, 50-megapixels f/1.8 lens with LED Flash, and combined with 8-megapixels f/2.2 ultra-wide camera. All these phones feature a 16-megapixels front-facing camera.

    The Redmi Note 11 series comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm audio jack, stereo speakers on the Note 11 and the Pro/Pro+ comes with 1115 super-linear speakers with a max amplitude of 0.65mm, SOUND BY JBL, and Dolby Atmos.

    Redmi Note 11 Pro and Note 11 Pro+ are the first phone to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 920 6nm processor with 2.5GHz Cortex-A78 CPU and 6x 2GHz Cortex-A55 CPUs. It is coupled with the Mali-G68 MC4 GPU for better graphic performance.

    It comes with support for VC liquid cooling with 12600 mm² heat dissipation, fully covering the heat sources of the main device body. Both are available in 6GB / 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB internal storage.

    There is an IP53 rating and these mobile phones run Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 out of the box. There is 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS for positioning, and the Pro(+) comes with support for NFC.

    Well, the Redmi Note 11 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 810 6nm processor with one of its CPUs, Cortex-A76 clocking up to 2.4GHz coupled with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It is available in 4GB / 6GB / 8GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage.

    These phones use LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. Redmi Note 11 comes with an X-axis linear motor and a 5000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging that can charge up to 100% in 62 minutes.

    Redmi Note 11 Pro sports a 5160mAh battery with increased 67W fast charging and the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ with a 4500mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging that can charge up to 100% in 15 minutes, and comes with a charger in the box.

    The Redmi Note 11, Redmi Note 11 Pro, and Redmi Note 11 Pro+ are available to order and will go on sale in China starting from November 1st.

    During the Redmi Note 11 series launched, Xiaomi also announced the Redmi Watch 2 with a 1.6-inch AMOLED screen, featuring a 63.7% screen-to-body ratio and ultra-thin bezels and supports 100 colorful watch faces and an always-on display.

    It comes with support for SpO2 and sleeps monitoring. It is available in Blue, Black, and Ivory casing with Olive, Brown, and Pink strap colors option. It has a 31g light-weight body, ATM water resistance, alongside other impressive features.

    Redmi promises up to 12 days of battery life and has a brand-new magnetic charger, thanks to its upgraded low power-consumption chipset and battery management algorithm. It supports 117 fitness modes, including 17 professional workout types.

    The Redmi Watch 2 goes for 399 yuan ($62 / NGN25,528 Nigerian Naira approx.). and it is available to order and unlike the Redmi Note 11 series that will be available on November 1st, this will stay a little bit longer, starting from November 11th.
