Samsung reveals full specs and features of Galaxy A42 5G

    During Samsung’s ‘Life Unstoppable’ online event last month, the company announced a Galaxy A42 5G phone, and other gadgets. But during the launch, Samsung did not spill out all the specifications, only a 6.6″ AMOLED touchscreen.

    Today, the company reveals the full specifications and features of the phone in infographic form. Which confirms the 6.6-inch display along with an HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display, 8.5mm thick, and weighs 190grams.

    The Samsung Galaxy A42 5G comes in Prism Dot Black, Prism Dot White, and Prism Dot Gray color options. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor, and sports 20-megapixels selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture inside the notch cutout.

    At the back panel is a quad-rear camera setup, which consists of the main 48-megapixels camera with f/1.8 aperture, f/2.2 8-megapixels ultrawide sensor, and two f/2.4 5-megapixels cameras for the macro camera and depth sensor.

    The device is powered by an unnamed chipset with an octa-core CPU (dual 2.2 GHz + Hexa 1.8 GHz) in 4GB / 6GB / 8GB LPDDR4x RAM, and 128GB storage, expandable up to 1TB via microSD card and runs on Android 10 with One UI 2.1.

    The Samsung Galaxy A42 5G sports a 5000mAh battery with 15W Adaptive Fast Charging via USB Type-C. For such a typical phone, it arrives with a 3.5mm audio jack, which lacks major phones. Other specs include Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, and GPS. While pricing still remains unclear but will be more like 369 Euros ($437) from November.

    Samsung also launched the Galaxy A21s smartphone in a new 6GB RAM with 128GB storage in India. Before now, the company unveiled the device in 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version and 6GB RAM with a 64GB storage version around June.
