In India, Samsung unveils its latest Smartphone – Samsung Galaxy F42 5G – It is an F-series mid-range mobile handset with 5G support, and it is identical to the Galaxy A22 but brings better specifications and features upgrades.
Samsung Galaxy F42 5G is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 7nm processor with one of its Cortex-A76 CPUs clocking up to 2.2GHz and the Cortex-A55 CPU at 2GHz. It is coupled with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU for better graphic control.
It is available in 6GB / 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, and you can expand the single storage up to 1TB through a dedicated microSD. It boots Android 11 OS with the company’s OneUI 3.1 skin on top. It sports a large 5000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
Around the back panel is a plastic design, side-mounted fingerprint reader, and comes in Matte Black and Matte Blue color option. It is quite bulky at 9mm and weighs a massive 203g. However, there is a 3.5mm audio jack, and its Sound system is tuned by Dolby Atmos.
Samsung Galaxy F42 5G arrives with a 6.6-inch 1080 pixels Full HD+ Infinity-V LCD screen with support for smooth scrolling, thanks to the 90Hz refresh rate. The Infinity-V notch houses a single 8-megapixels f/2.0 selfie camera.
Arranged in a simple square format, the Galaxy F42 5G arrives with a 64-megapixel f/1.8 camera with LED flash, combined with 5-megapixels ultra-wide camera, and lastly joined by a 2-megapixels depth sensor with an f/2.4 lens.
Other notable features are the Bluetooth 5.1 support, GPS, Wi-Fi, Dual 4G VoLTE, 5G SA/ NSA support, thanks to the processor, the Galaxy F42 5G also supports up to 12 5G bands: N1, N3, N5, N7, N8, N20, N28, N38, N40, N41, N78, N79.

The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G 6GB RAM / 128GB version costs Rs. 20,999 ($282 / €242 / NGN115,838 Nigerian Naira). While the 8GB RAM / 128GB storage option goes for Rs. 22,999 ($310 / €265 / NGN127,338 Nigerian Naira).
However, the company is offering a discount of Rs. 3,000 ($40), which is now at Rs. 17,999 and Rs. 19,999 respectively, this is as a part of Big Billion Days sale. It is an introductory offer that will be available when it goes on sale on Flipkart from October 2nd.
