Being the company’s latest and best Smartphone right now on the market, the South Korean tech giant, Samsung has embedded a lot of new features and advanced specifications into its new Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra Smartphone.
A few days ago, Samsung officially launched its Galaxy S22 series, which brings the vanilla Galaxy S22, advanced Galaxy S22+, and the fusion of S series and Note series – Galaxy S22 Ultra with the support for S-Pen, premium cameras, and superfast connectivity.
While the Galaxy S22 Ultra isn’t just a fusion, it also brings a few similar specifications from its predecessor, there is the Note 20 Ultra’s curved display, flattened front, back, top, and bottom with curved sides, Galaxy S21 Ultra’s f/1.8 108-megapixels, and others.
How much is Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra in Nigeria?

- The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 12GB RAM with 256GB storage recommended retail price is N749,000

The starting global price for the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is $1199/€1249 for the 8GB/128GB model. Bear in mind that there are more memory configurations, including 12GB RAM with 256GB/512GB/1TB storage options.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 12GB / 256GB costs $1299.99 / £1,249 / €1,349, bigger 512GB storage option goes for $1399.99 / £1,329 / €1,449, and the 1TB set you back at $1599.99. In Africa/Nigeria, pre-order starts from 1 March 2022.
However, the global shipments for the Galaxy S22 Ultra start from the 25th of February, unless you have a top reseller connection, you can’t get this phone in Nigeria within February, it will start hitting globally from March.
The Galaxy S22 Ultra is the most powerful Ultra device Samsung has ever created. However, at this time, we have no idea about the 1TB storage model, but that should be close to hitting around N900k and above. When has the pricing of phones reached this time high?
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra Specifications
Noticeable is the screen display, it features a 6.8-inch Quad HD+ Infinity-O-Edge Dynamic AMOLED Display with up to 1750 nits brightness, and features a Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. The display supports a 1-120Hz refresh rate with a 240Hz Touch Sampling Rate in Game Mode,
The Galaxy S22 Ultra packs Ultra-wideband capabilities (UWB) embedded. in-display fingerprint sensor, and comes with IP68 ratings for dust and water resistance. It is available in three major colors options: Phantom Black, Phantom White, Green, and Burgundy.
Similar to Samsung’s Galaxy series, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will be powered by two different chipsets – each depending on the region – Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 4nm Mobile Platform and Octa-Core Samsung Exynos 2200 processor.
Any of the options are available in 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, 12GB RAM with 256GB/512GB/1TB storage, and runs Android 12 with One UI 4.1 out of the box. It packs 5G SA/NSA, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS + GLONASS, and NFC support.
During the launch, the company mentioned that the “The Galaxy S22 Ultra also becomes the first Galaxy S series phone to come with a built-in S Pen Stylus with Wacom tech, unlike the S21 Ultra which had the support, but was sold as a separate accessory. The S Pen has 70% lower latency compared to S21 Ultra.”
Samsung also added in Nigeria launch “For the first time in the S Series, Galaxy’s signature S Pen comes built-in so you can write and draw on Galaxy S22 Ultra’s expansive screen and enjoy a more realistic pen-to-paper feel. Galaxy S22 Ultra’s camera ensures you get the best possible images and video, whether conferencing for work, watching movies, or staying connected to loved ones.”
Optics-wise, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is an almost close-to-the-perfect phone, featuring a primary 108-megapixel primary sensor with OIS, 12-megapixel Ultra Wide Lens with a 120-degree field of view, and 10-megapixel Telephoto lens for 3x zoom.
In addition to that, there is a 10-megapixels Periscope lens for 10x zoom and supports 100x digital zoom and a 3D ToF sensor. The phone features a 40-megapixel front-facing camera and supports 8K video shooting. It features Galaxy Note’s iconic sharp angles also.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra packs a 5000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging, 15W wireless, and reverse wireless charging. The phone also arrives with a wide graphite sheet which diffuses heat away from the vapor chamber. Exclusive colors such as Graphite, Red, and Sky Blue will be available in select countries.
