Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 arrives with S-pen & DeX feature

    Tech Giant unveils the revolutionized Samsung Galaxy Tab S4. It is the company latest powerful tab to run on Android OS. It is a flagship tablet, more powerful than ever, Samsung has done a lot of amusing work on its new tablet.

    The Galaxy Tab S4 might arrive with spicy and interesting specifications and features, but under the hood, it fails to sports a fingerprint sensor scanner. That is awful, regarding that cheap smartphones of nowadays come with it.

    Notably, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is the first tablet in the family to support Samsung Dex – it is a way to turn your Galaxy smartphone into a desktop computer by plugging it into a special dock and then plugging said dock into a monitor. The Tab S4 can be unlocked using either iris scanning or facial unlock.

    Design and Display

    The newly introduced Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 comes with a realistic design and display. Though, you may not find the fingerprint embedded either on the screen or back of the device, but there are other portable securities.

    The new Tab S4 features a tall 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display panel, with a 16:10 screen-to-body-ratio, while displaying a flexible screen resolution at 2560 x 1600 pixels. On the display aspect, it is 11% larger than the Galaxy Tab S3.

    The Galaxy Tab S4 accessories are S-pen, Book Keyboard Cover is made of fabric-like material in black or gray, Charging Dock POGO, which allows for an easy connection and removal, with no extra plugging in required. The dock is compatible with both the Galaxy Tab S4 and the Galaxy Tab A (2018, 10.5).

    With the S Pen weighing just 9.1g, and the tip is slimmed down to 0.7mm, but can detect 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity to allow smooth writing and drawing skills. It is free, while Book Keyboard cover and special Charging Dock Pogo are being sold separately.

    DeX and Keyboard

    Like said above, the Galaxy Tab S4 arrived with the DeX feature, recall that it was introduced alongside the Galaxy S8, and to enhance the feature, you can run DeX interface directly on the Tab S4. It can open DeX at any time.

    There is also the Keyboard accessory that’ll automatically launch DeX once it’s connected to the Tab S4. With the DeX, you can open multiple apps at once and run them in their own windows, drag content from one app to another, use keyboard shortcuts etc.

    Samsung said, “When you want to have a PC-like experience, just launch Samsung DeX via the on-screen Quick Panel and add an Android-compatible keyboard and mouse.”

    Also available in Black, Grey color options. The Book Keyboard Cover connects to the Tab S4 using a special POGO connection system. And while in the Charging Dock Pogo, it acts as Lenovo’s and Amazon’s Smart Display.

    Camera and Connectivity

    The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is also equipped with a 13-megapixel main camera, and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Both cameras are meant to take imperative photos, during the day or at night.

    The front facing snapper and back camera are both enhanced with a f/1.9 aperture, 1.12µm pixel size. The selfie shooter also acts as the Facial unlock and Iris scanning.

    On the connectivity, there is the USB Type-C 3.1, 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac. It also has four Dolby Atmos speakers on all corners of the tablet for a more impressive audio experience.

    Performance and Battery

    The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 running at a 2.35GHz + 1.9GHz QuadOcta-core processor, may not be the latest Snapdragon processor but it offers more ridiculous tablet experience ever, and it also optimizes the battery performance to the best.

    The Tab S4 also comes with a 4GB of RAM, for seamless multitasking. And it is available in two different options, 64GB and 256GB internal memory that is expandable to up to 400GB with a microSD card.

    Available in just Wi-Fi but in Q3 2018, it’ll then make its way to Sprint and US Cellular.

    Price of Samsung Galaxy Tab S4

    Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 pre-orders are open now on Samsung’s website, 64GB model costs $649.99 while the 256GB option goes for $749.99. The tablet is set to go on sale August 10.
