During the South Korean tech giant, Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event, the company unveiled its latest Galaxy Smartphones, the Galaxy S22 series, alongside is the Galaxy Tab S8 series also – Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+, and Galaxy S8 Ultra.
While the standard Galaxy Tab S8 and the semi-premium Galaxy Tab S8+ aren’t that special, the company introduces its first-ever Ultra tablet, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. This new tablet brings better and improved specifications and features.
One of the similar features of the Tab S8 series is the chipset, Samsung is powering this tablet with the Qualcomm latest processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor with Adreno next-gen GPU, and runs Android 12 with One UI 4.1.
These new Galaxy Tab S8 series are available in 8GB RAM with 128GB / 256GB storage, 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, but only the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra comes in 16GB RAM with 512GB storage, there are also expandable up to 1TB with microSD slot.
The company also mentioned that the new Galaxy Tab S8 series comes 40% less prone to bending, and brings the toughest Armor Aluminum body that is over 30% more scratch-resistant when compared to the predecessor – Galaxy Tab S7.
All models come with support for Quad Speakers with Dolby Atmos, an intelligent auto-framing technology that promises a truly professional video call experience, support S Pen with Bluetooth, 5G SA/NSA, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.2, and GPS.
There are also features including an enhanced Multi-active Windows and Samsung DeX, safe and easy file sharing with password-protected Quick Share, and an improved S Pen in the box. All models come with a fast-charging battery that can double as a portable charger.
You can also simply connect your Galaxy Tab S8 to a Galaxy S22 smartphone with a USB-C cable, and the Galaxy Tab S8 and S8+ come in Graphite, Silver, and Pink Gold colors, but the Galaxy S8 Ultra comes in Graphite color.
Similar to the predecessor, the Galaxy Tab S8 brings an identical side-mounted fingerprint scanner, but the Galaxy Tab S6‘s in-display fingerprint returns back on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ and Tab S8 Ultra.
The Galaxy Tab S8 series packs different battery power but all use 45W superfast charging that can charge up to 100% in 80 minutes and up to 90 minutes for Ultra. There are some perks for the Ultra, as it also supports 4K video recording too.

While all the Tab S8 series supports Cover Keyboard and Pen, the company promises the Galaxy Tab S8 UltraBook Cover Keyboard that features wider, backlit keycaps, customizable shortcut settings, and adjustable standing angles.
Samsung claims that it features premium, antimicrobial polyurethane leather and a glass-coated touchpad that enables smooth and responsive typing. The Wireless Keyboard Share can link your connected keyboard to a Galaxy smartphone for easy typing across devices.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 starts at $699 / £649 / €749 for the Wi-Fi 8GB/128GB, $779.99 / £699 / €799 for the Wi-Fi 8GB/256GB, £799 / €899 for the 5G 8GB/128GB, and £849 / €949 for the 5G 8GB RAM / 256GB storage option.
The Galaxy Tab S8+ starts at $899 / £849 / €949 for the Wi-Fi 8GB/128GB, $979.99 / £899 / €999 for the Wi-Fi 8GB/256GB, $1099.99 / £999 / €1,099 for the 5G 8GB/128GB, and the top-end 5G 8GB RAM / 256GB storage goes for £1,049 / €1,149.
While the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra Wi-Fi 8GB/128GB costs $1099.99 / £999 / €1,149, and goes all the way up to £1,399 / €1,599 for the 5G 16GB/512GB. There are available for pre-order and will roll out from February 25 starting with select markets.
