Whatsapp globally limits messages forwards to 5 recipients

The official Whatsapp messenger has announced that the app will limits its messages forwards to 5 recipients. The actual reason is to curb fake news.

Whatsapp has taken a lot of drastic steps to curb the wide spread of fake news, and this new feature “limitations of forward messages to five messages” will take a great deal all over the world.

You must understand that this feature has already been invoke in the app’s biggest market share, India. This feature was introduced after causing series of death.

But right now, it is coming to all users in the world. Although, before the official release, WhatsApp users could forward a message to 20 contacts.

“We’re imposing a limit of five messages all over the world as of today,” Victoria Grand, vice president for policy and communications at WhatsApp, said on Monday at an event in the Indonesian capital.

The five-recipient limit expands globally, and it seems to be the best decision to help fight against misinformation, details, and fake news.

This is not the first time the app is fighting wrong information, they were ready to pay $50,000 to fight against false news.
