Whatsapp picture-in-picture mode goes globally for Android phones

Whatsapp for Android globally rolls out Picture-in-picture feature, as their latest update for Android operating system.

Before today’s global launch, the mobile messenger, Whatsapp introduced the feature to beta users. It is also known as PiP mode.

However, the Whatsapp picture-in-picture mode allows users to play YouTube, Facebook, or Instagram videos in a dedicated small window.

While watching the video in a small window, you can still go ahead, scrolling or navigating through WhatsApp chats, all at once.

The Whatsapp picture-in-picture mode (PiP) is coming to Android Smartphone for the first time, but it has been available to iOS iPhone for over 11months.

Fortunately, the Whatsapp PiP mode works in different chats, including personal and group chats. But it doesn’t work with the video clips shared on the instant messaging app.

And it doesn’t work with videos being shared from other video platforms. Only with a link of any Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube videos.

Once the links are shared on the app, you can tap on it, and the video plays in a small, dedicated window that sits on top of your WhatsApp chats.

Anyways, you don’t need to activate any feature to work it out, just download the latest Whatsapp for Android. That is it.
