During its online event, Xiaomi announced its latest Smartphones – Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11 Lite and Mi 11 Lite 5G and the last is the Xiaomi Mi 11i. Other accessories include Mi Smart Band 6 and Mi Smart Projector 2 Pro.
Both phones quite identical to each other with a 6.55-inch FHD+ 1080p 20:9 AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 10-bit color depth, and it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on Mi 11 Lite 4G and Glass 6 on the 5G model.
The Mi 11 Lite 5G comes with support for the 5G modem, thanks to the chipset while the vanilla Mi 11 Lite comes with 4G LTE support. The Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite comes in Black, Pink, or Blue colors, and the Mi 11 Lite 5G in Black, Yellow, or Green.
The Mi 11 Lite 5G is officially the first smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 780G chipset and the company said it is Xiaomi’s most affordable 5G smartphone for the global market while its 4G variant will pack a Snapdragon 732G chip.
Mi 11 Lite 5G is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 780G, offering 7-series performance, the CPU is clocked at 2.4GHz, with Adreno 642 GPU, better connectivity, with either 6GB or 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
On the other hand, the Mi 11 Lite 4G comes with Snapdragon 732G 8nm Mobile Platform with its CPU clocked at 2.3GHz Dual Hexa Kryo 470 CPUs with Adreno 618 GPU. It is available in 6GB RAM / 64GB storage, 6GB RAM / 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM / 128GB storage.
These use LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, you can easily expand any of the memory configurations through a dedicated MicroSD card slot. Both run on Android 11 with MIUI 12 out of the box and support the Dual SIM option.
Xiaomi omitted the UD fingerprint scanner on both Smartphone for a side-mounted one, which also doubles as a power key. Both comes with a single punch hole in the top left corner, the 4G variant with 16-megapixels and the 5G with 20-megapixels front camera.
Around the back is a triple camera setup, there is the main 64-megapixels camera sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 1/1.97” sensor size, 8-megapixels f/2.2 ultrawide-angle snapper with a 1/4” sensor, and 5-megapixels macro shooter with autofocus between 3cm and 7cm.
These phones feature a 6.81mm sleek body, USB Type-C audio, Stereo speakers, Hi-Res Audio, and the 5G variant weighs 159g and the 4G option weighs 157g. There is a speaker grille, earpiece on the bottom and 5G variant also comes with NFC.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite phones packs a 4250mAh battery with support for a 33W fast charging capacity through the USB-C port. Both supports Dual 4G VoLTE, VoWiFi, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou connectivity, Wi-Fi 6 on 5G and Wi-Fi on 4G, and Bluetooth 5.2 on 5G and Bluetooth 5.1 on 4G.
The Mi 11 Lite 4G variant starts at 299 Euros ($352), while the Mi 11 Lite 5G 8GB+128GB costs 369 Euros ($434). In China, the 8GB+128GB costs 2299 yuan, 8GB+256GB option goes for 2599 yuan. You can pre-order the device, as it’ll be going on sale from 16th of April in China.
