After a successful Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB examination, students are still searching for how to check JAMB result online and offline via SMS or phone number.
But today, the JAMB and its board of directors via JAMB’s head of Media and Information, Dr. Fabian Benjamin reported that candidates can check JAMB results without pin.
JAMB is bringing the former days to the future, by introducing the JAMB result checker via SMS. They assured the concerned candidate that their result will be released soon.
JAMB promises to contact candidates when their UTME results are ready, which means that the UTME Candidates will get result notifications via their phone numbers.
In order to provide a suitable and qualified JAMB UTME result, the board promised that they’ll look into the CCTV cameras to find any sort of malpractice.
How to check JAMB result via SMS
To check your JAMB result via SMS, you require just:
a. Your mobile phone number, which you use to register JAMB UTME
b. And N50 for SMS charge.
Now that you have the tools and met the requirements, you can now follow the below steps to check your original JAMB result via your mobile phone:
1. Go to your message box, and send “RESULT” as SMS to “55019”
2. Give or take at least 10 – 30minutes
3. JAMB 55019 will send your UTME Score to your phone via text message.
You are advised to follow other instructions below to check your results online, probably, for reprinting purposes.
When will the JAMB result be OUT?
The Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results as promised by JAMB, will be available after Easter break.
Which means that the interested and concerned candidate will start getting their result notification via phone numbers from 2 to 3 days after the examination.
That means, if you sat for your examination on Saturday, you will get your result on/before Tuesday, while Tuesday sitters will get theirs on/before Friday.
JAMB result is not yet out?
Fabian urged candidates not to get carried away by misleading information in some sections of the media, especially social media.
This is coming straight from the board’s Head, Media and Information, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, who made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos.
Well, he did made a lot of statements, “The board wants to distance itself from such rumors about releasing the results of candidates of the just-concluded UTME and steps to check these results as being speculated.
“Candidates should disregard this information, as it is not true. It is not emanating from the board.
“No results have been released yet. Yes, the results are all ready, but we are yet to release them because they are still being ratified.
What is holding JAMB results?
JAMB Head of Media and Information, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, also made numerous statement concerning the reasons behind the withheld JAMB results.
Fabian had already stated that the JAMB CCTV discovered massive fraudsters and impersonation, adding that the exam body would release the result as soon as it finished the screening of the results.
“The board is carrying out all the checks and balances regarding these results by way of viewing the CCTV camera as well as attend to all findings brought before it while the examination lasted.
“The release of the result will be publicized as soon as we are through with all the board has set out to achieve. We will let the public know.
“Candidates should not bother themselves going to any cyber cafe to check any result.
“Our result check has been standardized. We will forward the results to the respective telephone numbers of those candidates who are deserving of it,”
Please, understand that the UTME was conducted nationwide from Saturday, March 14th to Saturday, April 4th. Over 2.1 million candidates registered for the examination.
